KATL-KRYY-KPDQ

I was recently summoned to Atlanta by the Georgia State Police to assist with the relocation of one of our ELITE TH-100 helicopter simulators. Over the course of a few days, I worked alongside their team to get the unit safely transferred and operational in its new space. A special thanks to Lieutenant Lance from GSP for his coordination and professionalism—his support made the whole process smooth and efficient.

Once the simulator move was complete, I managed to carve out just enough time for a bite and a little aviation indulgence. I stopped by the Downwind Restaurant, a local gem tucked right on the airfield. If you’re ever in town, trust me on this: the turkey sandwich is the best in Atlanta—no question.

Photos from the trip are below, capturing both the work and a bit of well-earned play.

All in all, it was a successful journey filled with progress, planes, and a really great sandwich.

To round out the trip, I made a quick visit to the Delta Flight Museum. Standing beneath the retired Boeing 747 display is always a humbling experience—massive, iconic, and beautifully preserved. It’s the kind of place that recharges your passion for aviation in just a few minutes.
