Today I had the chance to stretch the Baron’s wings on a quick mission: KORL → KISM → KBOW. The route may have been short, but the Beech Baron makes every flight feel like a complete experience. From the smooth climb out of Orlando Executive to the touch-and-go rhythm at Kissimmee, and finally setting down at Bartow, the Baron showed why it’s such a versatile twin for pilots who value both speed and stability.

I also snapped some photos along the way — capturing the views that remind me why I love hopping between Florida airports. Whether it’s slipping past the lakes around Kissimmee or seeing the wide-open approaches at Bartow, each leg of the flight offered its own character.

Why the Baron is Perfect for Quick Mission

The Beech Baron is a true workhorse for pilots who want performance without compromise. It climbs fast, handles crisply, and gives you that extra reassurance of a second engine when operating in busy Central Florida airspace. For trips like today’s — a few legs in a single afternoon — it’s the perfect balance of efficiency and enjoyment.

Fly It Yourself at Orlando Flight School

If you’re looking to experience this kind of flying for yourself, Orlando Flight School offers both the Beech Baron and the Twin Comanche for rental. Whether you’re a seasoned pilot looking to stay sharp in a twin, or simply someone wanting to explore what multi-engine flying feels like, their fleet is ready for your next mission.

Flying is always better when you can combine adventure with opportunity. Today’s quick flight was just that — a reminder of how much you can do with the right aircraft and the right community.
