Aviation, Skylines, and Cappuccinos

Last week, I had the chance to spend some time in the vibrant city of Charlotte, North Carolina — and it turned out to be a trip packed with aviation history, stunning cityscapes, and some unforgettable cappuccino stops.

My base for the trip was the AC Hotel Downtown, and it couldn't have been more convenient. Located in the heart of the city, it gave me easy access to all the places I wanted to explore. An added bonus? The hotel had a rooftop bar that offered incredible views of the Charlotte skyline — the perfect way to wind down each evening.

A Visit to the Sullenberger Aviation Museum

One of the highlights of my visit was a trip to the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. As an aviation enthusiast, it was truly inspiring to walk through exhibits dedicated to the legacy of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger and explore the broader impact of aviation history. From historical aircraft to interactive displays, the museum beautifully captures the spirit of flight and the heroes who made aviation history.

Capturing the Queen City

Of course, no visit to a new city would be complete without taking some time behind the lens. Charlotte's downtown (or Uptown, as locals call it) offered beautiful backdrops both day and night. During the daytime, the glassy towers gleamed under the sun, while at night, the city came alive with vibrant lights and reflections.

(I've shared two separate galleries for the daytime and nighttime city shots — hope you enjoy them!)

Cappuccino Adventures

True to tradition, I couldn't leave without scouting out a few great cappuccino spots:

Amelie's French Bakery – A cozy, eclectic place that immediately made me feel at home. Their cappuccino and pastries were a perfect midday treat.

Lottie's Cafe – A charming little café where the coffee is as good as the conversation.

The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte – The luxurious atmosphere here made even a simple cappuccino feel like a special occasion.

Each stop offered a unique flavor of Charlotte’s hospitality — something I'll definitely remember next time I visit.
