Max climbs to pattern altitude
Today marked an unforgettable milestone—not just for Max, but for our whole family. Max, the son of my brother Azat, took to the skies for the very first time on his introductory flight at Orlando Executive Airport. This was more than just a ride—it was the first step in what looks to be a future filled with aviation. With aspirations of becoming a commercial pilot, Max showed the kind of enthusiasm and focus you only see in those born to fly.
As someone fortunate enough to document this day with both photos and video, it was a moment of pride to see him step into the left seat, eyes wide with anticipation, heart fully in it. You could feel the energy and see that spark—the same spark many of us had when we first realized we were meant for the skies.
This special day wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness and hospitality of some truly amazing people. Thank you to Juan Pablo, the CEO of Orlando Flight School, for always opening the doors with a smile and giving young aviators a welcoming place to grow. A heartfelt thank you also to Diego and Gloria, whose time, generosity, and support made this experience one Max will never forget.
As we wrapped up the flight with smiles, high-fives, and a camera roll full of memories, I couldn’t help but think ahead: the next video I hope to shoot is Max’s first solo.
Until then—this is just the beginning of a new pilot’s story.
