Shutter Safe 1.7
iPhone Duo is a different kind of phone to pack. Closed, it is a compact camera companion. Open, it is a wide display you can set on a table while you check serial numbers, maintenance dates, and what is actually in the bag. Shutter Safe 1.7 is built for both.
This update requires iOS 27.1. It is version 1.7 (build 10).
One inventory, two ways to hold it
On the outer display, Shutter Safe stays the app you already know. Search the vault, filter by category, and add a body, a lens, or a light. Tabs and the main actions sit on the side bar, within reach of the thumb that is already holding the phone.
Open the device and the layout changes with it. Your list stays on one side. The camera, lens, or accessory you select stays on the other, with its notes, photos, and maintenance date in view. You can scroll the kit and read the details without jumping back and forth.
Fold it partway, like a book, and the calendar does the same kind of split. The month stays on one side of the hinge. That day’s shoots stay on the other, so a date and its call sheet are not bent across the fold.
A catalog that matches the season
The October 2026 gear list adds a few pieces people are already putting in the bag:
OM System PEN
Sony FE 8-14mm f/3.5 Fisheye G
Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art
Sigma 20-60mm f/2.8-4 DG
Sigma 50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary
Sigma 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary
Tamron 16-50mm f/2.8 Di III-A VXD
Older gear stays in the pickers. If you still shoot with it, Shutter Safe still lists it.
